I've made a new speaking activity called "3 Picture Speaking". I thought of it when I was teaching my 3rd graders about infinitives, that's the grammar we want to make a verb into an object. For example if you want something you can say "I want something." But what if you want sleep? Or to do something? Then we use the infinitive form of the verb. "I want to sleep," or "I want to go to the park". "to sleep" and "to go" are infinitives.

It's not important for students to know the name of the grammar, what's important is that they can use it in a sentence. That's why I made the 3 Picture Speaking activity!

Check it out! It targets:

-speaking
-verb tense agreement
-pronouns
-infinitives
-noun determiners

And it's a speaking activity, so it naturally targets pronunciation.

I've decided to focus my activites around books. The book that I am reading with my students is Last One In Is a Rotten Egg, by Leonard Kessler.

If you go to the Activities page at the top, you'll see the first activity I made was a sentence-correcting game, where students are shown a sentence with incorrect grammar and punctuation, and they correct it. All of the sentences are found in the book.
